(To be read after all guests have arrived and have completed the craft necklace)
Before we begin I want to be sure you have all read your Mystery Guides. (If they haven't give them a few minutes to look it over)
You are about to solve a mystery. There will be four rounds. To get the clues for each round you must solve a puzzle. Some puzzles you will work on as a group and some puzzles you’ll try to solve yourself. After you successful y solve the puzzles you will get the clues for the next round. On each clue there will be one fact that you know about others in the group. Taking turns you will each share this fact with the group. The other fact is something about yourself. You do not read this to the group. Once everyone has a chance to read the fact about themselves there is a free period where you should ask one another questions to try to get as much information about each other as you can. You must answer all questions asked of you honestly. You can not lie about any of the facts you have read about yourself. If you don't know the answer to a question, and you can't make an educated guess from the information provided, say "I don't know." Once the four rounds are over and all the clues will be read each person will have a chance to guess which girl or girls committed the crime. Once everyone has guessed someone will read the solution to the mystery. Can you guess who did it?
If there are no questions we will begin the game.
You are a group of six friends from (name of your school or town) who have gathered for a reunion, a weekend of sun and fun in the beautiful Bahamas. I am (name of game host) and I’m the owner of the Blue Shell Inn. This morning I picked you up in my pontoon boat at a dock in Freeport and drove you the two miles off the coast from Freeport to the Blue Shell Inn on New Iguana Island. Once I secured the boat in the boat lift I showed you your rooms. You spent the afternoon getting settled, playing at the beach and making shell necklaces.
Now it is 6:00 and you have return to the Inn for dinner but I am very sad to tell you that the boat that I used to bring you to the island, the only boat on all of Little Iguana Island is no longer in the dock, it has drifted off to sea. I only own one two way radio, which I usually keep in the kitchen, but it has been smashed. There is no way to contact Freeport for help. We are stranded on the island. We only have enough food and water to for a few days. Until someone comes looking for us we are stranded here!
